Introductions

The photos on the header are of Michael Wallace Murray, Georgina (Fraser) Murray, John Fraser, and Agnes (Ross) Fraser. They were graciously provided by cousin Elizabeth, who is a descendant of Agnes (Murray) Smith, daughter of Michael and Georgina. Elizabeth's mother, Bessie has also graciously provided me with much Murray genealogical information. My gratitude to them!

I am a descendant of Robert Murray, son of Michael and Georgina. Throughout the quest for my roots, I have shared information with Murray cousins, so I thought it was about time to reach out to all of our cousins through this platform to widely share our mutual genealogy. Anything Murray-related is accepted and appropriate for this blog.

I'm pretty new to this technology (2nd blog), so bear with me if you are more advanced, and please share your techie knowledge, so that we can make this a robust blog. If you wish to add information, please either comment, or request permission to author from: madcaparchivist@gmail.com.

I've tried to upload an 18 page PDF of a 3 generation family tree. Apparently Blogger doesn't like PDFs, so if you'd like to see the information I've entered into my Family Tree Maker 2008 software, shoot me an e-mail, and I'll send it to you. I invite all corrections to any information I provide, because I want to be as accurate as possible.

As we share our Murray information, please cite the source material. It's acceptable genealogical practice, but I must confess that I was guilty of not doing this in the beginning of my work.
